There are 10 basic principles of good design; CONTRAST, EMPHASIS, PROXIMITY/ ALIGNMENT, BALANCE, HIERARCHY, SCALE, HARMONY/UNITY, PATTERN, REPETITION, & RHYTHM/MOVEMENT. For this week’s journal #14, google examples of SCALE as a principle of design, and upload a picture of an example of SCALE to your Journal #14 describing how it is used as a principle of good design.

Scale is used to create contrast. By using scale in your design you can make some things more important by making them bigger in comparison to everything else. Scale is similar to hierarchy in that it shows what is more important or what you should look at first.
